This is my second homemade disc golf basket. Like the first I used a bike rim to support the chain assembly only this time i added a tire to act as a disc protector. I Used 12 Outer chains, 6 Intermediate chains, and 6 Inner chains. This time for a basket I used the bigger 8" "L" brackets. I cut slits through the middle of underground sprinkler hose and pushed it down over the "L" bracket. I repeated the last step 4 times and it left me with the makings of a basket. Also in this basket I switched to a fence post as opposed to the railing. I also used an umbrella base for this basket bringing the total to $160 CDN

This is the first homemade disc golf basket I made. I used 2/0 straight link chain in 16 strands around the outside of a used a bike rim and bolted it down to an old railing. The basket consists of a 24" diameter circle of plywood and 8 "L" brackets bolted to the bottom facing up. I used the back to a broken wardrobe and flexed it into the grove between the brackets and the wood. The base is an umbrella stand. This net cost about $80 to make. The chains and the umbrella stand were the most expensive items costing $32 and $34 respectively. All in all great first basket catches pretty good.
